Money Skills for What Comes Next.

Having your own money is exciting. Whether it comes from your first job, a birthday, an allowance, or something you earned on the side, what you do with it is up to you.

But having money also means making choices. Do you spend it now? Save it for something bigger? Try to do a little of both?

You don’t have to have all the answers. Learning how to manage your money happens one decision at a time—and getting started now can help you feel more confident about those decisions later.

At Notre Dame Federal Credit Union, our youth accounts give you a place to start.

Save for What Matters to You

New shoes. Your first car. College. A trip with friends. Or maybe you just want to see how much you can save.

Whatever your goal is, Boost Savings gives you a place to put money aside and watch your progress.

Eligible members can earn $25 when opening an account and even get rewarded for good grades through Report Card Rewards.* A parent or guardian can also easily transfer money directly into your account.

The goal isn’t to save every dollar you get. It’s learning how to make saving part of what you do with your money.

Ready for Your Own Debit Card?

As you start earning and spending more of your own money, you may be ready for more independence.

LevelUp Checking is available to eligible members ages 13–24 and includes a debit card you can use for everyday purchases. You can also receive transfers from a parent or guardian and take advantage of waived ATM fees.*

Open an account and you can earn $25. Use your debit card five or more times in a month and you’ll automatically be entered into a quarterly $100 giveaway.*

More importantly, having your own checking account gives you real experience managing your money—checking your balance, deciding what you can spend and making sure you still have something left for later.

Start Building Your Money Skills

You don’t need to wait until you’re older to start getting better with money.

Every time you save toward a goal, check your balance before buying something, or decide that something isn’t worth spending your money on, you’re building skills you’ll use for years to come.

It’s your money. Start learning how to make it work for you.
