Summer 2023 Newsletter
Posted on Jul 19, 2023
Dear Fellow Owners,
Things are heating up out there! We kicked off Memorial Day weekend and the unofficial start of summer by awarding 23 scholarships totaling nearly $35,000 to local high school and college students. I’d like to thank Executive Assistant Reba Hayes and the rest of the Scholarship Program Committee for making it possible for us to invest in the future of our youth.
Speaking of investing in the youth, Notre Dame Federal Credit Union provided the School City of Whiting with an emotional support dog named Ollie, who has quickly become every student’s favorite administrator. We got to know Ollie during his recent visit to the Lake County Branch, where Notre Dame Federal Credit Union committed to providing two additional emotional support dogs, one for each School City of Whiting institution beginning in the 2023-24 school year.
The summer months always bring about an exciting world of possibilities and endless adventure. Whether you are planning vacations, hosting barbecues, or attending weddings, it is important to budget accordingly. Now is a great time to be proactive and take control of your finances.
Schedule an appointment with a Financial Physician by calling 800-522-6611 or visiting NotreDameFCU.com and clicking “appointment” in the top right corner. We will review your finances and help put together a budget that provides flexibility and peace of mind to enjoy your summer plans. With the financial resources and expertise at Notre Dame Federal Credit Union, financial empowerment is always just a phone call away.
One of my favorite sayings is, “What is most personal is also most universal.” Meaning what may seem overwhelming and unmanageable to one person is in fact similar to others’ experience. If you find yourself the victim of layoffs or any other type of personal financial hardship, please let us help. We specialize in assisting folks with financial crunches, and if we can’t help “family” what purpose do we really serve?
If there is any other way we can better serve you, please reach out to me at [email protected], and as always, thank you for being a part of our credit union family.
