Dear Fellow Member-Owners,
This time of year has become an annual time of reflection for me. Each year I check-in with partners (employees) and member-owners to ensure we are serving our mission to improve and enhance your financial lives.
By helping you achieve your financial dreams, we prosper as well. That prosperity is then reinvested in our communities and you, our member-owners, via new products, lower-priced loans, scholarships, financial literacy programs, and citizenship loans. That is where the fruits of your patronage go.
I’m happy to report with the summer season comes a myriad of mission serving initiatives. Last month we hosted the Best. Giveback. Ever. community block party in South Bend to highlight giving back $1 Million in 2018. At the event, we gave $1,000 to community members, then matched that dollar for dollar in donations to the non-profit of their choice!
We also awarded a record number of scholarships to deserving students, and we sponsored the WNDU Shred-A-Thon to educate the public on the importance of what, and when to shred documents. All proceeds benefit the Pack-A-Backpack program for kids in need.
It brings us joy, knowing we are making a difference for you. I could not be prouder to work at an organization that has received the honor of being named Michiana’s Best Financial Institution six years in a row. It is gratifying to see that our efforts are noticed and appreciated by those who continually vote us the best financial institution in town!
I ask that you, please help us secure our 7th Best Financial Institution title by voting for us daily starting August 22.
