ELKHART, IN – June 3, 2026 – Notre Dame Federal Credit Union (Notre Dame FCU), in partnership with the Elkhart Chamber and the Diocese of Ft. Wayne-South Bend, celebrated the grand opening of its new full-service office located at 101 S. Main St. in Elkhart. The event included a ribbon cutting ceremony and a rite of blessing, and was attended by community members, credit union members, and Notre Dame FCU partners (employees).

The official ribbon cutting was followed by a special blessing delivered by Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades, of the Diocese of Ft. Wayne-South Bend. Remarks were given by Notre Dame FCU Vice President and Regional Area Manager Mireya Olvera, Chief Partnership Officer Robert Kloska, and President/CEO Tom Gryp.

To highlight its ongoing commitment to the community, Notre Dame FCU presented a $1,000 donation during the event to Catholic Charities, reinforcing the credit union’s model of reinvesting profits into causes its members believe in. 

The Elkhart Branch includes a full teller line and drive-up Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs), offering convenient, technology-enhanced banking while maintaining the personal service that defines the Notre Dame FCU experience. The space also houses the Elkhart Mortgage Center and commercial lending team, allowing members to manage all their banking and home financing needs under one roof.  

Notre Dame FCU’s Juntos Avanzamos distinction highlights its continued focus on inclusion and accessibility. The Elkhart Branch will provide bilingual staff and financial education resources designed to empower Hispanic and immigrant consumers.
