NOTRE DAME, IN – Notre Dame Federal Credit Union announced that it raised over $4,000 for local foster children this month. The funds will support Together We Rise and provide sweet cases containing personal items to 100 children entering foster care in St. Joseph County.
Notre Dame FCU collected $3,080 in donations from credit union members and partners this month. The area credit union also donated $1,000 to enable Together We Rise to purchase clothing for the foster children. The Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore also donated 100 books to be placed in the sweet cases.
Notre Dame FCU Service Supervisor Alyssa Barber led the effort at the credit union. She said, “It was amazing to witness the excitement with which so many partners and members donated to the cause. They were delighted to give for the needy foster children in our own community.”
Together We Rise is a non-profit organization that aims to improve the lives of foster children by collaborating with community partners and bringing resources to foster youth.
