Notre Dame FCU Announces New Partnership with Diocese of Lansing: Haverty Appointment as Regional Director

NOTRE DAME, IND. – April 4, 2024 – Notre Dame Federal Credit Union (Notre Dame FCU) is pleased to announce a new and unprecedented partnership with the Diocese of Lansing. The Diocese of Lansing will now receive a best-in-class offering of non-profit banking products, including significant interest-bearing no-fee checking, free armored courier service for parishes & schools, free positive pay anti-fraud protection, dedicated personnel to provide service to the diocese, annual contributions to participating parishes and schools, ELEVATE fundraising tools for parishioners and school families, and a commitment from Notre Dame FCU to make service to the Diocese a top priority. Notre Dame FCU will also provide underwriting consultation services to the Diocesan Parish Savings and Loan Trust.

As part of this partnership, Notre Dame FCU has appointed Laurie Haverty as the Regional Director for the Diocese of Lansing Region. With an impressive professional background spanning over 17 years, Haverty brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role at the credit union. Before joining Notre Dame FCU, Haverty served as a parish business manager, and most recently as the Director of Human Resources for the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend. Prior to that, Haverty was a Financial Service Manager at a credit union managing membership and loan functions. In her new role, Haverty will support this new partnership.

Haverty’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, and a master’s degree in business with a concentration in church management from Villanova University. Additionally, she is a Society of Human Resources Senior Certified Professional.
Outside of professional endeavors, Haverty remains actively involved in her parish and community with a strong dedication to faith and a passion for helping others. She serves as a St. Vincent DePaul Vincentian and co-chairs a food ministry program serving Hope Ministries in South Bend.
Originally from Dearborn, MI, she is the proud mother of three children and a loving grandmother. In her free time, Haverty enjoys gardening and cherishing moments with her family.
