Noe Najera Appointed as Michiana Market President

Notre Dame Federal Credit Union (Notre Dame FCU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Noe Najera as the Michiana Market President. With an extensive background in the banking industry, Najera brings a wealth of experience and a demonstrated history of strong leadership and business development to his new role.
Najera previously served as the Executive Vice President of Mortgage and Retail Lending at Horizon Bank, where he provided strategic leadership for various teams, including consumer lending, retail mortgage, mortgage warehousing, and Community Reinvestment Act lending teams. He received the Outstanding Leadership Award in 2020 for his leadership contributions at Horizon Bank.
Prior to his time at Horizon Bank, Najera held several key positions at United Federal Credit Union, where he was instrumental in doubling their asset size and developing a consumer loan portfolio exceeding $410 million.

Najera’s dedication to community engagement and leadership is demonstrated through his board positions with United Federal Credit Union’s credit union service organization (CUSO) and Northwest Indiana’s Urban League, in addition to leading Horizon Bank’s Diversity Counsel and serving as President of Horizon Bank’s Community Development Corporation with a focus on investing in underserved community projects.

Najera is a well-rounded leader, having also played professional baseball with the Cleveland Guardians’ and Cincinnati Reds’ organizations from 1992 to 1998. His passion for the game has translated into his involvement in youth sports and mentorship activities, reflecting his commitment to the development of future leaders.
Najera attended Cypress College and North Carolina State on a baseball scholarship where he studied Associate Business Administration and Communications, respectively. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Studies from Indiana University-South Bend.
