FORT WAYNE, IN. – August 20, 2026 – Notre Dame Federal Credit Union (Notre Dame FCU) celebrated its growing presence in the Fort Wayne community on Wednesday, August 19, with a community luncheon followed by branch blessing at its new Fort Wayne location.

The day began with a luncheon that brought together community members, 40 local leaders, and organizations across the region. The gathering provided an opportunity to connect with those who welcomed the credit union to Fort Wayne and recognized the relationships and partnerships supporting its work in the area.

“I look forward to partnering with Notre Dame FCU to be able to bring tools to our city to help our residents. That’s why we are the fastest growing community in the Midwest. Thank you, Notre Dame FCU, for calling Fort Wayne home,” said Mayor Sharon Tucker.

Following the luncheon, guests gathered at Notre Dame FCU’s new Fort Wayne location for a rite of blessing led by the Most Reverend Kevin C. Rhoades, Bishop of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend.

The blessing marked a meaningful step forward for Notre Dame FCU as it continues serving individuals, families, businesses, parishes, schools, and organizations throughout the Fort Wayne area.

“It was great to be with everyone. Notre Dame Federal Credit Union has a branch in Fort Wayne. Thanks be to God,” said Bishop Rhoades.

Notre Dame FCU President/CEO Thomas Gryp reflected on the significance of the day and the relationships the credit union continues to build in Fort Wayne.

“Wednesday was about more than celebrating a new location. It was about the people who have welcomed us and the connections we continue to build,” said Gryp. “We are grateful to everyone who joined us and to Bishop Rhoades for making this milestone even more meaningful.”
