Fall 2022 Newsletter

Dear Fellow Owners,

As I look out my office window, it is a clear and crisp fall day in South Bend. The air has grown brisk, and the changing leaves around our branches create a beautiful collage, signaling that the season of gratitude is upon us. It also serves as a reminder that I have plenty for which to be thankful.

First, I am thankful for our Partners (employees) who work tirelessly to give you the best banking experience possible. We are driven by people, not profit, so providing you with excellent service is our top priority. Our belief in the common good is one of the driving factors resulting in Notre Dame FCU being named a Best Credit Union to Work For by American Banker for the third year in a row. It is also why we’ve been voted the Best Financial Institution in the South Bend Tribune Readers’ Choice awards for the tenth consecutive year!

I am also thankful for the opportunity to further expand our credit union into new communities. Our office in Phoenix recently upgraded to a full-service branch, and we opened our first branch in Tucson. Later this year we will also open the Elkhart Mortgage Center. I am grateful for our ability to serve our expanding membership across the country through our brand-new website, online banking, and our mobile app.

I continue to be thankful for the ways Notre Dame FCU gets involved with the communities we serve. We brought The Kindness Machine, a vending machine stocked full of kindness challenges, to Michiana for the month of October. It debuted at Morris 100 Fest, and it was a hit! It was incredible seeing attendees lining up to participate and spreading random acts of kindness to festivalgoers throughout the night. The machine made its way through downtown South Bend, instilling kindness at every stop along the way.

Last but certainly not least, I am thankful for all of you. Notre Dame FCU would not be the special place it is without our loyal Members, and it is our pleasure to provide you with the financial tools needed to empower the lives of you and your families. It is because of all these things that we have now become a credit union with over $1 billion in assets!

As always, if you have any questions, comments, or thoughts on how Notre Dame FCU can better serve you, please let me know at [email protected].

Thank you for being part of our credit union family!
