NOTRE DAME, IN – November 18, 2021 – The Catholic Community Foundation (CCF), which serves the Diocese of Phoenix, announced today that it has partnered with member-owned Notre Dame Federal Credit Union (Notre Dame FCU) for their banking needs. Notre Dame FCU is the nation’s largest Catholic-oriented credit union serving over 800 Catholic entities located in 26 dioceses last year.

Notre Dame FCU President/CEO Tom Gryp said, “Our mission for financial empowerment is based in Catholic Social Teachings and drives our efforts to put people before profits. While banks are busy answering to stockholders, we answer to you! Where you bank really DOES matter.”

The Catholic Community Foundation’s partnership with Notre Dame FCU will provide benefits such as credit union membership for employees and their families, financial education resources, student scholarships, and favorable rates. Best of all, Notre Dame FCU’s nationally-celebrated ELEVATE fundraising tools allow member-owners to direct funds to eligible parishes, schools, or other non-profits such as the Catholic Community Foundation. The ELEVATE benefits include:

  • $150 for completing an annual virtual financial check-up
  • 1% of every signature transaction using our SCRIP debit and credit cards
  • A one-time donation of 1% of the total amount of an auto loan (up to $500)
  • A one-time donation of 1% of a funded business loan (up to $5,000)

David Gryp, Notre Dame FCU Arizona Market President added, “We want to bring people together that share the same mission, values and beliefs. Our relationship with CCF certainly aligns with this desire and only strengthens our ever-evolving efforts to serve the needs of the Diocese of Phoenix and the people of Arizona.”

In addition to CCF employees, family member and donors, all parishioners in the Diocese of Phoenix are eligible for membership at the credit union. If you would like to learn how you can give back to the Catholic Community Foundation by banking with Notre Dame FCU, visit NotreDameFCU.com/Elevate.
