2024 Summer Newsletter

Posted on Aug 8, 2024

Dear Fellow Owners,

As we move through the year, I am filled with gratitude for the continued support and dedication of our Notre Dame FCU family. It’s been a busy and fulfilling few months, and I’m excited to share some of our recent achievements and updates with you.

We are proud to announce our 2024 Scholarship Recipients. Out of 187 applicants, twenty-four outstanding individuals were awarded $1,500 scholarships, plus paid internships during the summer. It’s inspiring to see the talent and potential within our community, and we’re honored to support their educational journeys.

This spring, we kicked off the season by bringing back our Memorial Day Cookout. It was a joy to see a grill fired up, and our partners enjoying time with one another. Our community spirit shone brightly as we gathered to celebrate and honor the day.

In June, we co-sponsored the WNDU Shred-a-Thon, serving 850 people and shredding an impressive 62,910 pounds of documents. The event raised a grand total of $19,644 supporting Pack-a-Backpack, $6,000 of which were contributed directly from Notre Dame FCU. Additionally, our interns at Cultivate Food Rescue packed 1,301 meals during their volunteer shift, exemplifying the spirit of giving back that defines Notre Dame FCU. Our participation in these events truly makes a difference, demonstrating that Where You Bank Does Matter.

Our collective efforts have resulted in a year-to-date Community Giveback of $760,597, a testament to the power of our cooperative spirit. Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey. Your trust and loyalty inspire us to strive for excellence in all that we do.

As always, I welcome your feedback and suggestions. Please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected].

With gratitude, Tom
