ELKHART, IN – [April 13, 2026] – Notre Dame Federal Credit Union (Notre Dame FCU) has announced key staffing appointments at its new Elkhart branch, located at 101 S. Main Street, including the promotion of Mireya Olvera to Vice President, Regional Area Manager, and the promotion of Jose Cazarez to Assistant Branch Manager. Brendan Swick and Andres Orta also serve on the Elkhart branch team as Member Service Representatives.

In her role as Vice President, Regional Area Manager, Olvera provides leadership across the region while supporting the credit union’s continued growth in Elkhart and its broader commitment to service, community connection, and financial well-being. Olvera has been with Notre Dame FCU for more than 13 years, beginning as a Member Service Representative in 2012 and advancing into leadership roles including Branch Manager, Senior Manager of Business Development, and Area Manager.

Olvera is also known for her strong community engagement and service, including Spanish-language financial education outreach and one-on-one support for members navigating financial challenges. She leads Notre Dame FCU’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative and has been recognized for her leadership and impact through both internal and community honors.

As Assistant Branch Manager, Cazarez helps oversee branch operations, support team development, and strengthen member relationships in the Elkhart market. He brings more than five years of experience in financial analysis, credit evaluation, compliance, and customer service, along with a background in member guidance and operational support. Cazarez studied business at Purdue Fort Wayne.

Together, the Elkhart branch team supports members with day-to-day banking needs while helping expand access to personalized financial services in the community.

Notre Dame FCU opened its new full-service Elkhart branch on April 13, 2026, expanding access to affordable financial services in northeastern Indiana.
