When it was time for Lexi to go to college, her family had a couple years of hard times. Just as strongly as Lexi’s parents wanted to help her out, Lexi did not want to become a burden to them. 

In determining her plan after high school, Lexi did a lot of research and applied for as many scholarships as she could find. Because of her persistance, drive and determination, she was awarded $12,000 in various scholarships, including one from Notre Dame FCU.

In addition to her scholarship, Lexi was awarded an internship from Notre Dame FCU that she worked this past summer, as well as, maintaining a second job. Lexi’s hard work is helping to ensure that she can get the college education that she desires.

“I am very blessed, it has been a great experience.”
