Introducing Chip Cards

Notre Dame FCU members are in for some changes to their debit cards, starting in 2016. These new cards are embedded with microprocessor chips that store and protect cardholder data.

During a transaction with a chip card at a chip card terminal, the chip produces a single-use code to validate the transaction—further protecting cards from unauthorized use.
